Phase I – House of Representatives

A Brief History of the Democrats’ Attempt to Remove a Legally Elected President:

In 2017, 90 minutes after Trump was inaugurated our 45^th President, the NY TIMES ran a headline that THE IMPEACHMENT OF TRUMP HAD BEGUN.  Round 1 was attempts to prove that Trump had colluded with the Russians, that Putin had been helping him during the campaign season and the election.  This proved to be nothing.

Round 2 was a 2-year investigation by former FBI head Robert Mueller.  Over $35,000,000 of American money went into this investigation which turned out to be nothing. (Obama holdovers in the FBI and DOJ dug like crazy looking for a HINT that Trump had illegal help during his campaign.)  This also turned out to be a nothing-burger.

2019/2020 was the ‘piece de resistance’ – the Impeachment of Donald Trump.  One Democrat even declared in public that THEY MUST IMPEACH TRUMP OR HE WILL WIN IN THE 2020 ELECTION.

The Democrats were positive that this third attempt to remove the president would be a charm so they began impeachment proceedings soon after Mueller’s Report flopped.

FAST FORWARD:

Nancy Pelosi has been Democrat Speaker of the House, then Democrat Minority leader, and is now in a second round as Speaker.  Pelosi has always ruled with a firm hand, but I think she no longer has control of her caucus. 

There was a time in Congress, when any first termer who didn’t fall in lock step with the Speaker, would end up in the basement with an office next to the rest rooms, with no staff, and maybe not even a phone. Today these four FRESHMEN women rule the roost, like it or not!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, known as AOC, represents a district in New York.  She gained fame by being the freshman who prevented Amazon from building a new facility at the edge of New York City.  Would have brought in 20,000+ jobs, but Amazon decided to move on.

Rashida Tlaib is an American Muslim politician and lawyer serving in the U.S. House of Representatives – she is from Michigan.

Ilhan Omar is an American Muslim politician serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.  She and Rashida Tlaib are the first Muslim women to serve in Congress.  Omar represents Minnesota.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley is the third member of the Democrat ‘Squad’ representing the state of Massachusetts.

These four have become the new face of the Democrat Party!

There are two more members of Congress of note in my opinion.  These were the two whom NANCY PELOSI SELECTED to run the recent impeachment of President Trump.  Rep. Adam Schiff, Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, was the main Democrat running the show.  If his lips were moving, he was lying.  The other was Rep. Gerald Nadler, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee.

These two ‘leaders’ failed to follow the Constitutional process for impeachment – for starters. They were also in a rush to get the impeachment finished before the 2020 primary season got under way.

Long story short:  EPIC FAIL

[The farce that was the Trump Impeachment came to a head when the House sent the IMPEACHMENT ARTICLES to the Senate for the trial.  Immediately the Democrats began insisting that the SENATORS call witnesses and request documents. Finally it became known that it’s the job of the House to CALL witnesses and request documents – NOT THE SENATE.  The impeachment proceeding ended in acquittal of President Trump.]

The Run-Up to the 2020 Election (FEB 11, 2020)

Their leading candidate, Bernie Sanders, is a 78-year-old Communist, who recently suffered a heart attack, who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, and whose DREAM’ nation is Cuba.

The next in the pecking order as of now is Pete Buttigieg, 36 and the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, a town with the population of about 100,000.  A newcomer to national politics, Mayor Pete is openly gay and has recently taken a young ‘husband’. He’s a bright young man, but I’m not sure the country is ready for a First Man in the White House.  Time will tell!

The Dems' favorite candidate is/was Joe Biden, a 77-year old candidate who was a career Senator until he became Obama’s Vice-President.  He used his position to get his son a job in Ukraine, and he is on record using his position and threatening to withhold funding from America unless an investigator looking into his son’s business in the Ukraine is fired.  The investigator was fired. Biden did not fare well in Iowa, and things don’t look so hot in New Hampshire. Today at a rally in New Hampshire, he called a woman there 'a lying, dog-faced pony soldier'. He said it was a joke but there was not much laughter.  Biden also has trouble knowing where he is and why he’s there.  He’s currently in 4/5 place in the run for president after only two state primaries (depending on who you ask).  He’s counting on South Carolina and Nevada to move him back to the front.

Then you have Senator Elizabeth Warren, who will be 71 in June, and is a woman who finds it easier to lie than be honest.  Claimed to be of Indian heritage to get teaching jobs at universities.  She misleadingly told a group of school-choice activists that her children “went to public schools,” not private ones. Warren’s campaign later clarified that her daughter attended public school, while her son mostly attended private school. Liz has slowly been sinking in the Democrat polls, but you never know!

Hovering in the background is Michael Bloomberg (age 77)…a gazillionaire who ran twice for mayor of NYC as a Republican and then one term as an Independent, but now wants to run as a Democrat AGAINST a Republican.  He hasn’t taken part in any debates but plans to be front and center down the road. Prior to all these runs for office, he was a lifelong DEMOCRAT! 

It’s VERY early in the primary season, but one thing I find completely hilarious AND AWESOME is that President Trump has held a rally in Iowa and in New Hampshire, both on the eve of the Democrat election…. and he has drawn ENORMOUS crowds who have stood outside the venue in WINTER WEATHER hoping to get a seat.  Don’t know if Trump will continue this but I hope he can!
