Arlette Saenz is apparently ABC’s ‘reporter’ who’s been
tagged to follow Joe Biden on the campaign trail. She posted four articles on the family Biden’s
stops yesterday.

idiot around the country]

Joe Biden Misstates Troop Size in Afghanistan
Joe Biden misstated the number of U.S. troops remaining in
Afghanistan by several hundred thousand Friday evening.
“By the way, those dependent people he refers to, those 47
percent, they include the 650,000 troops still left in Afghanistan who, because
they are in combat, being shot at, injured, they do not have to pay any federal
income tax on their salary. I don’t call that dependency. I call that
ingratitude to not recognize they are a part of that 47 percent,” Biden said on
the steps of the state house in Concord, N.H.
Following the event, a Biden aide clarified Biden intended
to say there are approximately 68,000 troops left in Afghanistan.
On Thursday, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta announced the
last of 33,000 surge troops had left Afghanistan.
President Obama announced the temporary surge of troops in
Afghanistan, which would include the deployment of 33,000 troops, two years
ago.

Joe Biden Calls Cheerleaders ‘Best Athletes in College
“Have you ever watched the cheerleading championships? I’m
serious. Guess what?” Biden asked about 200 kids assembled at Newport High
School in Newport, N.H., gathered on the practice fields.
“The cheerleaders in college are the best athletes in
college,” he said. “They are amazing. You think I’m joking. You think I’m
joking. They’re almost all gymnasts. The stuff they do on hardwood, it
absolutely blows my mind, thinking, you know, they’re up there without a net.
You know?”

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Joe Biden
Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden stopped by the
Spring Ledge Farm Stand in New London, N.H., Friday, and Jill Biden picked out
a 36.75-pound pumpkin to take back to Washington, D.C.
“The kids are going to be mad at us because we usually run
through the pumpkin patch and let them pick, but let’s get one any way,” the
vice president said.

Biden: Romney’s ’47 Percent’ Comments Show He’s ‘Profoundly
Wrong About America’
Biden rose to the defense of the 47 percent Romney
referenced at that May fundraiser.
“Ladies and gentlemen, folks, this is not a country of
victims. This is a country where when people get knocked down they get back up.
There’s absolutely no quit in America. There never has been any quit in
America,” Biden said. “When I hear
Romney and Ryan, this new Republican Party in Congress, talk about decline and
dependency, I give you my word, I don’t know what country they’re living in. I
really don’t. I don’t see it. I don’t see it anywhere I go. I don’t see it in
the neighborhoods I grew up in. I don’t see it in wealthy or poor
neighborhoods. I don’t see it.”
[Ed. Note: There was
no mention that the tape in reference was missing ‘one or two minutes’ of
Romney’s conversation – Saenz did NOT mention this fact in her Biden coverage on 9/13/12 ]

Here’s one on Old Joe that didn’t get much coverage, back
from Sept. 13:
Biden: 'I am Supposedly an Expert on Foreign Policy'
BIDEN: I'm supposedly an expert on foreign policy. Well, you
know, an expert from where I come from is anyone from out of town with a
briefcase. I do not have a briefcase.
