MICHELLE THE MAGNIFICENT!

Just three weeks after Michelle Obama drops her ‘Let’s Move’ campaign for healthy eating by the youth of America, the WHITE HOUSE has credited her with SOLVING CHILDHOOD OBESITY!  Can you say WOW!  A mere three years after she launched ‘Let’s Move’ [2/9/2010] the problem has been declared SOLVED.

"Thanks to these efforts, families now have access to more information to make healthier decisions for their children. Young people now have more opportunities for physical activity in their communities. Food in schools has been dramatically improved. More Americans now have access to healthy, affordable food closer to home. And the national childhood obesity rate has leveled off, and even declined in some cities and states." [Emphasis added]

Now, would someone please tell me how, in a mere three years, ANYONE knows that the ‘childhood obesity rate has leveled off’??  Studies like this take YEARS – and surely more than THREE years.  I submit that if kids are losing weight, it’s because their parents can’t afford food because they don’t have jobs! 

Oh, wait.  I forgot about SNAP…. Those without jobs are probably eating better than those WITH jobs.  Nevermind.

In any case – where does the WHITE HOUSE get off making this absurd declaration?  Well…. If Michelle has solved childhood obesity in just three years, put her in charge of global warming and solar energy because there is an overabundance of hot air surrounding her!
