DAILY GRAPHIC 12/15/2015

If this doesn't tell you the state of American higher education, nothing will.

We have this dingbat, Melissa Harrison Perry, who recently wore two tampons in her ears (as dangle earrings).  Speaking on her show on MSNBC, she said
I just have to show these. My producer Lorena made for me last week some tampon earrings because of course you’re remember that the Texas state legislature said that you couldn’t bring tampons in when they were going these women to in fact stand up for their own reproductive rights. You weren’t allowed initially to bring tampons. So, just in case that ever happens again ladies, you can just bring them on your earrings.

This person is a GRADUATE of Wake Forest University.  That is shock #1.

She entered college when she was 16..... shock #2

AND NOW.... (are you sitting down?)
"Harris-Perry has been named a Presidential Chair, an endowed position that recognizes and supports exceptional faculty who embody Wake Forest’s teacher-scholar ideal. She is the second Presidential Chair honoree, joining Michele Gillespie of Wake Forest’s History Department."

Here's an interesting link - seems she and her hubby owe a wad in back taxes - but no worry, she won't get the 'Willie Nelson' treatment - but probably the 'Charlie Rangle' lecture.

I'm speechless, and that is a rarity...
