I write on another website as an invited author – a site populated mostly
by pseudo-intellectual liberals. Been
there a couple of years. Most of my
posts there are rants about the left and Obama, and the gelded Republicans in
Congress. Those who comment on my
writing are forever telling me to calm down, that I’m always too ‘outraged’. And they are probably right. That is why I will not post anything there about
what took place in the Senate this week.
I am filled to overflowing with outrage!
I’m speaking of Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster on the senate
floor about Obama’s plan to kill Americans on American soil with drones.
Now I ask you. How in
the world can a man, who pretends to be a Constitutional scholar and professor
even THINK that such an idea is within the limits of the law? [BTW – for anyone who doesn’t know – Obama was
NOT a Harvard professor – he was a senior lecturer – big difference – huge.] Supported by his Attorney General, the
mastermind behind Fast & Furious (another totally off the chart
unconstitutional scheme that our Congress has swept under the carpet), Obama
and his minions have come up with a plan to take out AMERICAN CITIZENS under
SUSPICION of being terrorists. This is
the same president who will NOT send the recently captured son-in-law of OBL to
GTMO for interrogation. Does anyone see
the dichotomy here?
I digress. My outrage. I watched as much of Sen. Paul’s talk as I
could. He was not ranting or pounding
his fists. He was pointing out the
unconstitutionality of Obama’s drone plan and asking for someone in the
executive branch to explain how it is permitted under the Constitution. He was joined on the Senate floor by other
young conservatives like Sen. Marco
Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz. Even a Democrat
senator, Ron Wyden, joined Paul in a show of support. The filibuster forced national attention on
the drone plan, and finally Holder said it was unconstitutional.
Finally some Republicans were showing a backbone. Then that very night, Obama wined and dined
12 senior Republicans at the Jefferson Hotel in D.C. Upon leaving that dinner, Sen. John McCain and
Sen. Lindsey Graham took to the microphones and chastised Sen. Paul for the
filibuster. WHAT. THE.
FUCK!
The opening paragraphs of an article in the Washington
Examiner this morning said:
Elder Sen. John McCain, who this
week engaged in friendly fire when he launched his "maverick"
missiles at fellow Republicans seeking clarification on the administration's
drone policies, has upped the ante, deriding Tea Party-backed GOP lawmakers as
"wacko birds."
McCain, who hit the Senate floor
Thursday to belittle Sen. Rand Paul's filibuster, which succeeded in getting an
answer from President Obama that drones won't be used to kill Americans on U.S.
soil, even suggested that the Kentucky senator and his allies, like Texas Sen. Ted
Cruz and Michigan Rep. Justin Amash, don't represent the GOP mainstream.
"It's always the wacko birds
on right and left that get the media megaphone," McCain told Huffington
Post's Jon Ward in a story titled "John McCain: Getting Back To Maverick,
With An Eye On Retirement."
THE HUFFINGTON POST!
ROFLMAO! An unbiased story? Not in this lifetime! McCain said the likes of Paul, Cruz, Amash, etc. were not reflective of the views of the majority of Republicans.
THIS FROM THE MAN WHO GAVE US BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!
TWEEDLE DEE AND TWEEDLE DUMB
Well on that, I can agree!
On that, it’s damn time the Republicans turned to the views of the Tea Party if we want to save this country!!! If you want to see outrage, read the comments in the assorted news
stories about ‘Maverick John McCain’s action.’ It’s time to get rid of RINO John McCain and
his butt-boy Lindsey Graham (who is posturing about Benghazi because he’s up
for re-election in 2014) and all the other RINO's in Congress.
It’s time to clean the House….. and the Senate!
I was too, absolutely shock at both of their attitudes on what Paul had accomplished.
ReplyDeleteMcCain was even boasting about his OpEd in WaPo on twitter.... So I let him have it.
@SenJohnMcCain Holder said "no intentions" it's not "No we wouldn't" The President has brought this mistrust upon himself, SIR #StandWithRand
