THANK YOU, MR. PRESIDENT
(Don’t look for this tidbit on the CBS Evening News)
NEW YORK – Single-family home prices dropped into double-dip territory in March as the housing market remained bogged down by inventory and weak demand, a closely watched survey said on Tuesday. “Home prices continue on their downward spiral with no relief in sight.” Prices in the 20 cities fell 3.6% year over year, topping expectations for a decline of 3.3%.
In the first quarter, the national index fell 1.9% on a seasonally adjusted basis, compared to a decline of 1.8% in the previous quarter. On a non-adjusted basis, they fell by 4.2% in the quarter.
JAMES O’SULLIVAN, CHIEF ECONOMIST, MF GLOBAL, NEW YORK
“The numbers have been slipping again recently. They have been flat for about two years now. On balance, housing is still not showing a rebound.

IT'S TIME FOR SARAH...
Someone emailed me this link, and since I agree with it totally and since I could not have said it better, I’m posting it for your consideration.
=========
REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE NAME AND FACE RECOGNITION:
Tim Pawlenty is stating that he does not yet have the name and face recognition to move his numbers up amongst the other better-known Republican Candidates.
Candidates like Pawlenty will never get the kind of coverage that propelled Obama to political stardom.
AND HE’S RIGHT.
Anyone who is not on the LEFT or Center-LEFT cannot depend on the mainstream media for any kind of positive recognition or publicity.
Not anyone but ONE that is.
WHO IS SARAH PALIN?
If you have to ask, you’ve been comatose for the last 3 years.
I have written from the very beginning about my respect and confidence in Sarah Palin, and why I believe she SHOULD be the candidate to run against Obama in 2012.
The “EXPERTS” say that she is TOO polarizing. She’s TOO unelectable. That she carries TOO much baggage. And that she will NEVER be able to attract the Center and Independents.
These are the same “EXPERTS” who thought that John McCain would be a great candidate against Obama.
HOW TOUGH IS PALIN?
1 – The media has done whatever is legally possible to dredge-up every scintilla of personal dirt on Palin that they could find - THEY CAME UP EMPTY.
2 - The Media tried to find, and even create political scandals associated with Palin – NO SCANDALS FOUND.
3 – The Media relentlessly attacked her family and family life - WITHOUT SUCCESS.
4 – Hollywood and Television have gone as far over the top as they possibly could to demean and belittle Palin without shredding what little credibility the entertainment industry still has – TO NO AVAIL.
5 – Establishment Republicans (RINOS) have taken plenty of cowardly pot shots at her, mostly from the shadows, and usually couched in innuendo from the likes of INSIDERS like Carl Rove – HURTING ONLY THEMSELVES.
But . . . After attacking Sarah Palin on just about every front imaginable, not only has she not backed-off, she’s shown TRUE GRIT, and went even more so on the attack, becoming even that much more recognizable and popular.
When I read, see, and hear Democrats saying HOW MUCH they’d love Palin to be the candidate to run against Obama, what I’m really hearing is - ANYONE BUT Palin.
The LAST candidate the Democrats really want to run against is someone who will go right after Obama’s dreadful fiscal, social, and international record.
SOMEONE WHO WILL GET INTO OBAMA’S FACE LIKE NO ONE ELSE COULD OR WOULD.
They would much rather run against another McCain-type who believes in trying to please everyone, while offending no one. And finding no ass he’s not prepared to kiss, unless it belongs to a true Conservative Republican.
But, Sarah Palin isn’t McCain . . . And she will not try to suck-up to Obama’s base or to anyone else, AND SHE WILL TELL IT LIKE IT IS, which is what I believe the majority of the people are prepared to hear.
I hear many Pundits, including Conservatives who say that she hasn’t yet established a ground game. That she doesn't have any real committees setup. Especially district Committees and fund-raising Committees.
WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN SMOKING?
1 - No one in the USA with the exception of this one-term President has as much face recognition than does Sarah Palin. So, what will an advertising and marketing committee achieve for her?
2 – Sarah Palin’s ground game includes MILLIONS of TEA PARTIERS who don’t have to be organized into committees to take Palin’s message to the streets, the phones, and to the homes of the American people.
SHE HAS AN ALL-VOLUNTEER ARMY.
3 – Sarah Palin doesn't need a fundraising committee, since the money will be raised by the MILLIONS of Tea Partiers, most of whom will write the checks themselves, as they raise HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in nickels and dimes from others who will do whatever it takes to fill Palin’s war chest.
And if a war chest is what is needed to get your message across, the media that hates her the most, will also give her the most exposure, ONLY because they won’t be able to help themselves.
What the political INSIDERS can’t imagine for the life of themselves is that Sarah Palin is a phenomenon. She’s nothing at all like them. She doesn’t need to play by their rules. And MOST important of all . . . She doesn’t need them.
Sarah Palin is a FORCE of NATURE who the people believe-in, can relate to, and will trust with their country.
If you hear what the mainstream media is saying, and what the Republican INSIDERS are saying, you’d figure that she doesn't have a shot in hell. But, don’t listen to them. Listen to the people . . . the REAL people who are sick and tired with the political status quo and the INSIDERS.
LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO WANT REAL CHANGE. Not that phony crap Obama and the LEFT foisted upon a doting and sleepwalking population.
PEOPLE WANT JOBS – JOBS - JOBS:
1 - Less government.
2 - Less spending.
3 – Lower taxes.
4 – Less regulation.
5 – More energy independence.
6 – Private but affordable and accessible healthcare.
7 – Support for America’s REAL allies.
8 – And a return to American EXCEPTIONALISM.
That is who and what Sarah Palin is all about.
Who else on the Republican side can deliver all of this? Who else on the Republican side would the people really trust to deliver any of this?
And does anyone reading this really believe that the Center and the Independents want anything less for themselves, their families, and their country? I DON’T THINK SO.
If Palin throws her hat into the ring, as I suspect she will, LOOK OUT, because she will ask for no quarter and take no prisoners.
Hers will be a campaign like none other:
OF THE PEOPLE - BY THE PEOPLE - FOR THE PEOPLE. IT’S TIME FOR SARAH.

OBAMA SHOULD LEAD BY EXAMPLE
BRITAIN PROPOSES RETURN TO PRE-1845 BORDERS AS SOLUTION TO U.S. MEXICO BORDER ISSUE
John G. Winder, The Cypress Times
Published 05/21/2011 - 9:11 a.m. CST
LONDON, ENGLAND – The U.S. must return to the pre-1845 borders with Mexico said British Prime Minister David Cameron today. Cameron offered up the solution in order to resolve the issue of massive illegal migration from Mexico into the U.S. and to quell the rising tide of drug cartel violence close to the shared border between the two nations.
Cameron said the proposed return to the pre-1845 borders is the only viable solution that would solve a deadlock "that has grinded on and on and on."
"There must be no doubt that Great Britain welcomes change that advances self-determination and opportunity," Cameron said. "Yes, there will be perils that accompany this moment of promise. But after decades of accepting the world as it is in North America, we have a chance to pursue the world as it should be.”
The Prime Minister’s comments were made just one day before President Obama was scheduled to arrive in Ireland as part of a desperate attempt to woo Irish-American voters.
White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters that Cameron’s actions are inexcusable.
“To propose something this radical just a day prior to President Obama’s visit to Great Britain is unconscionable. I can’t recall a scenario where one head of state has ever so purposefully embarrassed another head of state, particularly a staunch ally.”
The White House is now scrambling to change President Obama’s travel schedule in Ireland feeling that their previous plans to hang out in pubs and have the president talk up his Irish ancestry might now somehow seem contrived.
An Obama administration insider who spoke on the condition of anonymity indicated that President Obama might actually consider embracing some parts of Cameron’s proposal, however.
“This would actually be an acceptable solution to the President in the sense that we would finally be able to get rid of Texas and Arizona. However, the loss of critical voters in California would really suck.”
When asked about how the proposed return to 1845 borders would affect New Mexico and Nevada the spokesperson said, “I guess Harry Reid would be on his own to negotiate with Los Zetas and ‘New Mexico?’ come on is that even a real place?”
Cameron’s proposal would basically mean that California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and all of what is now the western United States would revert to Mexican rule. However, prior to 1845 Texas was an independent republic.
“Cameron obviously didn’t think this thing out fully in terms of the Texas issue,” a White House spokesperson said. “We really don’t want to imagine a scenario where Texas would become an independent nation again. The idea of a President Rick Perry along a new U.S. border would be unacceptable. We would prefer a return to pre-1836 borders. Let Mexico have Texas.”
What would a California under Mexican rule look like? A wide-eyed and seemingly confused House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Dem – CA) said, “I don’t speak Spanish. It’s already a problem for me in my state. I guess now it would be worse. However, drug cartels do need universal health care, too. Treating gunshot wounds can be terribly expensive and place a burden on the entire gang.”
A spokesperson for the Los Zetas Drug Cartel said, “This would certainly expedite our ability to get our drugs to our customers. Sure a few ranchers and home owners in the area formerly known as the United States will have to die. But hey you have to break some eggs to make huevos rancheros.”
He added that overall Los Zetas thought Cameron’s proposal was “Mui Bueno.”
Nancy Pelosi responded, “Seriously. I don’t speak Spanish.”
The above scenario is of course, absurd.
Unimaginable!
Yet this is basically what U.S. President Barack Obama did to Israel and to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week just a day before Netanyahu arrived in the United States.
President Obama proposed trading away the future and security of our staunchest ally, the Jewish race and the only democracy in the Middle East in order to solve “a deadlock that has grinded on and on and on.”
As a people we must be genuinely and deeply concerned when our President proposes policy that is so absurd as to be simultaneously both comical and horrifying.
PHOOEY!
Rapture came and went, and apparently I didn’t make the cut! I’m in HELL because Obama is president down here too!

ME ME ME ME ME ME MEEEEEEEEEE
The words we use speak volumes about our character.
Here is a synopsis of Obama's speech on UBL, May 2, 2011:
“Tonight, ~I~ can report . . . And so shortly after taking office, ~I~ directed Leon Panetta . . . ~I~ was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden . . . ~I~ met repeatedly with ++my++ national security team . . . ~I~ determined that we had enough intelligence to take action. . . . Today, at ++my++ direction . . . ~I~’ve made clear . .. . Over the years, ~I’ve~ repeatedly made clear . . . Tonight, ~I~ called President Zardari . . . and ++my++ team has also spoken. . .These efforts weigh on ++me++ every time ~I~, as Commander-in-Chief . . . Finally, let ++me++ say to the families . .. ~I~ know that it has, at times, frayed. . . ..”
~I~ = 10
++me++ = 2
++my++ = 3
Compare that with the speech given by George W. Bush on December 14, 2003 upon the capture of Saddam Hussein.
"Good afternoon. Yesterday, December the 13th, at around 8:30 p.m., Baghdad time, United States military forces captured Saddam Hussein alive.
He was found near a farmhouse outside the city of Tikrit, in a swift raid conducted without casualties. And now the former dictator of Iraq will face the justice he denied to millions.
The capture of this man was crucial to the rise of a free Iraq.
It marks the end of the road for him, and for all who bullied and killed in his name. For the Baathist holdouts largely responsible for the current violence, there will be no return to the corrupt power and privilege they once held.
For the vast majority of Iraqi citizens who wish to live as free men and women, this event brings further assurance that the torture chambers and the secret police are gone forever.
And this afternoon, ++I++ have a message for the Iraqi people: You will not have to fear the rule of Saddam Hussein ever again.
All Iraqis who take the side of freedom have taken the winning side.
The goals of our coalition are the same as your goals -- sovereignty for your country, dignity for your great culture, and for every Iraqi citizen, the opportunity for a better life.
In the history of Iraq, a dark and painful era is over. A hopeful day has arrived.
All Iraqis can now come together and reject violence and build a new Iraq.
The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq.
The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country.
The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force.
Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people.
Their work continues, and so do the risks.
Today, on behalf of the nation, ++I++ thank the members of our armed forces and ++I++ congratulate 'em.
++I++ also have a message for all Americans: the capture of Saddam Hussein does not mean the end of violence in Iraq.
We still face terrorists who would rather go on killing the innocent than accept the rise of liberty in the heart of the middle east.
Such men are a direct threat to the American people, and they will be defeated.
We've come to this moment through patience and resolve and focused action. And that is our strategy moving forward.
The war on terror is a different kind of war, waged capture by capture, cell by cell, and victory by victory.
Our security is assured by our perseverance and by our sure belief in the success of liberty. And the United States of America will not relent until this war is won.
May god bless the people of Iraq, and may god bless America. Thank you."
~~I~~ = 4
President Bush's speech is completely outwardly directed. In his entire speech, President Bush used “I” only four times, and never to take credit (he did not use ‘me’ even once).
President Bush speaks of the momentous occasion and gives all the credit to the military and the intelligence community. There is no attempt to highlight his part in the story.
Completely the opposite, President Obama grabs all the credit he can whenever he can. In only a small section of his speech, President Obama used the first person 15 times, and in every case, it’s was always about him. He does so not only for political grandstanding, but at a deeper level because he is compensating for his well-deserved insecurities. Unfortunately, it’s painfully obvious that we now have a childish, self-aggrandizing narcissist residing in the White House.
Quite a contrast. But it gets better…..
Below is the transcript of President Obama’s speech at the CIA on Friday, May 20, 2011. He used the word ‘I’ 37 times in this brief speech. I took the transcript from http://www.whitehouse.gov/ . It is almost as if the beginning and the ending of this speech was written by one person, and the middle was written by another…..
PANETTA [introducing Obama]: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great honor to introduce the President of the United States. (Applause.)
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you. (Applause.) Thank you very much. Thank you all. (Applause.) Thank you so much. Thank you very much, everybody. Well, thank you, Leon, and thank you, Jim [Clapper].
When ~~~I~~~ chose Leon Panetta as Director of the CIA, ~~~I~~~ said he was going to be a strong advocate for this agency and would strengthen your capabilities to meet the threats of our time. And when ~~~I~~~ chose Jim Clapper as Director of National Intelligence, ~~~I~~~ charged him with making sure that our intelligence community works as one integrated team. That’s exactly what these two leaders have done, along with all of you.
So, Jim and Leon, thank you for your remarkable leadership, not just in recent weeks, but during the entirety of your tenure. You have done a great job. (Applause.)
This is ++my++ third visit here to Langley as President, and each of these visits has marked another milestone in our mission to protect the American people and keep our country safe.
On ++my++ first visit, just months after taking office, ~~~I~~~ stood here and ~~~I~~~ said that this agency and our entire intelligence community is fundamental to America’s national security. ~~~I~~~ said that ~~~I~~~ believed that your best days were still to come and ~~~I~~~ pledged that you would have ++my++ full support to carry out your critical work.
Soon after that visit, ~~~I~~~ called Leon into the Oval Office and ~~~I~~~ directed him to make the killing or capture of Osama bin Laden the top priority in our war to defeat al Qaeda. And he came back here, and you guys, who had already been working so hard on this issue, redoubled your efforts. And that was true all across the intelligence community.
++My++ second visit, a year later, came under more somber circumstances. We gathered to pay tribute to seven American patriots who gave their lives in this fight at a remote post in Afghanistan. As has already been mentioned, their stars now grace this memorial wall. And through our grief and our tears, we resolved that their sacrifice would be our summons to carry on their work, to complete this mission, to win this war.
Today ~~~I’ve ~~~ returned just to say thank you, on behalf of all Americans and people around the world, because you carried on. You stayed focused on your mission. You honored the memory of your fallen colleagues. And in helping to locate and take down Osama bin Laden, you made it possible for us to achieve the most significant victory yet in our war to defeat al Qaeda.
~~~I~~~ just met with some of the outstanding leaders and teams from across the community who worked so long and so hard to make that raid a success. And ~~~I’m~~~ pleased today that we’re joined by representatives from all of our intelligence agencies, and that folks are watching this live back at all of those agencies, because this truly was a team effort. That’s not always the case in Washington. (Laughter.) But all of you work together every single day.
This is one of the few times when all these leaders and organizations have the occasion to appear together publicly. And so ~~~I~~~ thank all of you for coming -- because ~~~I~~~ think it’s so important for the American people to see all of you here today.
Part of the challenge of intelligence work is, by necessity, your work has to remain secret. ~~~I~~~ know that carries a heavy burden. You’re often the first ones to get the blame when things go wrong, and you’re always the last ones to get the credit when things go right. So when things do go right -- and they do more often than the world will ever know -- we ought to celebrate your success.
That’s why ~~~I~~~ came here. ~~~I~~~ wanted every single one of you to know, whether you work at the CIA or across the community, at every step of our effort to take out bin Laden, the work you did and the quality of the intelligence that you provided made the critical difference -- to ++me++, to our team on those helicopters, to our nation.
After ~~~I~~~ directed that getting bin Laden be the priority, you hunkered down even more, building on years of painstaking work; pulling together, in some cases, the slenderest of intelligence streams, running those threads to ground until you found that courier and you tracked him to that compound. And when ~~~I~~~ was briefed last summer, you had built the strongest intelligence case against -- in terms of where bin Laden was since Tora Bora.
In the months that followed, including all those meetings in the Situation Room, we did what sound intelligence demands: We pushed for more collection. We pushed for more evidence. We questioned our assumptions. You strengthened your analysis. You didn’t bite your tongue and try to spin the ball, but you gave it to ++me++ straight each and every time.
And we did something really remarkable in Washington -- we kept it a secret. (Laughter and applause.) That’s how it should be.
Of course, when the time came to actually make the decision, we didn’t know for sure that bin Laden was there. The evidence was circumstantial and the risks, especially to the lives of our special operations forces, were huge. And ~~~I~~~ knew that the consequences of failure could be enormous. But ~~~I~~~ made the decision that ~~~I~~~ did because ~~~I~~~ had absolute confidence in the skill of our military personnel and ~~~I~~~ had confidence in you. ~~~I~~~ put ++my++ bet on you. And now the whole world knows that that faith in you was justified.
So just as impressive as what you did was how you did it. It was a tribute to your perseverance, your relentless focus and determination over many years. For the fight against al Qaeda did not begin on 9/11.
Among you are veterans who’ve been pursuing these murderers for many years, even before they attacked our embassies in Africa and struck the Cole in Yemen. Among you are young men and women for whom 9/11 was a call to service. This fight has defined your generation. And on this wall are stars honoring all your colleagues and friends, more than a dozen who have given their lives in the fight against al Qaeda and its violent allies.
As the years wore on, others began to think that this terrorist might never be brought to justice. But you never quit. You never gave up. You pulled together across this agency and across the community.
No one piece of information and no one agency made this possible. You did it together -- CIA, National Security Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, everyone at ODNI and the National Counterterrorism Center. [ edit. note: should he really have enumerated all these agencies?] Folks across the country, civilian and military, so many of you here today.
And that’s exactly how our intelligence community is supposed to work, using every capability -- human, technical -- collecting, analyzing, sharing, integrating intelligence, and then acting on it.
That’s what made this one of the greatest intelligence successes in American history, and that’s why intelligence professionals are going to study and be inspired by your achievement for generations to come.
Now, make no mistake -- this is not over. Because we not only took out the symbol and operational leader of al Qaeda, we walked off with his files -- (laughter) -- the largest treasure trove of intelligence ever seized from a terrorist leader. Many of you now are working around the clock; you didn’t have much time to celebrate. We’ve got to analyze and evaluate and exploit this mountain of intelligence.
So today, every terrorist in the al Qaeda network should be watching their back, because we’re going to review every video, we are going to examine every photo, we’re going to read every one of those millions of pages, we’re going to pursue every lead. We are going to go wherever it takes us. We’re going to finish the job. We are going to defeat al Qaeda.
Even as we stay focused on this mission, we need you to stay nimble and flexible to meet the full range of threats to our security, from plots against our homeland to nations seeking weapons of mass destruction to transnational threats such as cyber criminals and narco-traffickers.
So ~~~I’m~~~ going to keep relying on you -- for your intelligence, the analysis that comes across ++my++ desk every single day. And 300-plus Americans are counting on you to stay a step ahead of our adversaries and to keep our country safe.
~~~I~~~ have never been more proud or more confident in you than ~~~I~~~ am today -- not just because this extraordinary success, but because it reminds us of who we are as a people and as a nation. You reminded us that when we Americans set our mind to something, when we are focused and when we are working together, when we’re not worried about who’s getting the credit and when we stay true to our values, even if it takes years, there is nothing we cannot do.
That’s why ~~~I~~~ still believe in what ~~~I~~~ said ++my++ first visit here two years ago: Your greatest days are still to come. And if any of you doubt what this means, ~~~I~~~ wish ~~~I~~~ could have taken some of you on the trip ~~~I~~~ made to New York City, where we laid a wreath at Ground Zero, and ~~~I~~~ had a chance to meet firefighters who had lost an entire shift; police officers who had lost their comrades; a young woman, 14 years old, who had written to ++me++ because her last memory of her father was talking to him on the phone while her mother wept beside her, right before they watched the tower go down.
And she and other members of families of 9/11 victims talked about what this meant. It meant that their suffering had not been forgotten, and that the American community stands with them, that we stand with each other.
So most of you will never get headlines for the work that you do. You won’t get ticker-tape parades. But as you go about your work with incredible diligence and dedication every single day, ~~~I~~~ hope all of you understand how important it is, how grateful ~~~I~~~ am, and that you have the thanks of a grateful nation.
God bless you. And God bless the United States of America. Thank you. (Applause.)

LETTER TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FROM BENJAMIN NETANYAHU
My American friends,
If you are Jewish and you believe in the Jewish State, get ready to kiss it goodbye because Barack Hussein Obama has just sold us out.
Shalom,
Benjamin Netanyahu
If you are Jewish and you believe in the Jewish State, get ready to kiss it goodbye because Barack Hussein Obama has just sold us out.

WHAT A JERK WE HAVE IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is endorsing the Palestinians' demand for their future state to be based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war, in a move that will likely infuriate Israel. Israel says the borders of a Palestinian state have to be determined through negotiations. [THIS PRESUMES THEY GET A STATE – THEY HAVE UPPED THE ANTE EVERY TIME IT’S COME TO THE TABLE! I say…. Skrew ‘em! ISRAEL SHOULD NOT GIVE UP ONE CUP OF DIRT, NOT EVEN THOSE THEY HAVE OFFERED TO GIVE UP IN THE PAST!]
In a speech outlining U.S. policy in the Middle East and North Africa, Obama on Thursday sided with the Palestinians' opening position a day ahead of a visit to Washington by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu is vehemently opposed to referring to the 1967 borders. [Is it just me or does Hussein CONTINULLY insult Netanyahu?? If I were Benny, I would cancel my visit this instant!]
Until Thursday, the U.S. position had been that the Palestinian goal of a state based on the 1967 borders, with agreed land swaps, should be reconciled with Israel's desire for a secure Jewish state through negotiations. [I repeat – Obama’s out to skrew Israel – it’s been his goal since day one – all who think he is NOT a Muslim, raise your hand!]
BODY ART? GAGa!!!
Seems Lady Gaga has passed Oprah on the 'wealthiest celebrities list'... is she getting rich from the youth of America? Of course!
I found this picture and it's all I can to not to GAGa. This is definitely something parents need to be aware of because Lady Gaga has recently taken to mutilating herself by implanting demonic horns in her face and shoulders. These implanted 'horns' are the next body mutilating/piercing fad....

THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL FIELD.....
This has been a busy few days for the 2012 election, beginning with the South Carolina debate and ending today with Newt shooting himself right through the heart (which doesn't bother me in the least). The field right now is slim and in my mind, needs to get slimmer.

THIS IS WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY 'IT'S ABOUT THE JUDGES, STUPID!'
OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FIGHTS TO SAVE HEALTH CARE LAW
RICHMOND, Virginia (Reuters) - Lawyers for President Barack Obama go to court on Tuesday to try to save the cornerstone of his healthcare overhaul, arguing that the requirement for Americans to buy insurance is constitutional.
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit will consider whether a lower court was correct in striking down the requirement. But they will not be the final arbiter in a fight that is expected to reach the Supreme Court.
The panel of judges -- selected at random by a computer -- turned out to have all been appointed by Democratic presidents, including two by Obama: James Wynn and Andre Davis. The third, Diana Motz, was appointed by President Bill Clinton.

CNSNews.com) – Anticipating the elimination of the military ban on homosexuality, the Office of the Chief of Navy Chaplains has decided that same-sex couples in the Navy will be able to get married in Navy chapels, and that Navy chaplains will be allowed to perform the ceremonies -- if homosexual marriage is legal in the state where the unions are to be performed.

CLASSIFIED - TOP SECRET?
I have been amazed all week at the casual way the intel gathered from the Bin Laden raid has been discussed by the people in the White House and by the press. It was VP Biden who revealed that it was SEAL team 6 that did the raid! I am still in shock over THAT! In my humble opinion NONE OF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVEALED. We should not have even revealed that we GOT any intel, let alone what it was. Apparently ‘classified’ or 'top secret', in this administration, only applies to Obama’s college transcripts.

FORMER PLANNED PARENTHOOD DIRECTOR BECOMES A FEDERAL JUDGE – WITH THE HELP OF ELEVEN REPUBLICANS!
The cloture vote on the nomination of John J. “Jack” McConnell was 63 to 33 with 1 senator voting present and 2 senators not voting at all. Had 4 of the 11 Republicans who voted for cloture not done so, the nomination would have failed. A cloture vote requires 60 votes to succeed.
All 11 Republicans who voted for cloture—and thus to allow McConnell’s nomination to proceed—turned around and voted against the nomination itself on the final vote, not that it mattered a whit! That vote succeeded 50 to 44 and McConnell was confirmed.
The 11 RINO REPUBLICAN senators who voted for cloture and thus to permit McConnell to become a lifetime federal judge were:
Lamar Alexander of Tennessee
Scott Brown of Massachusetts
Susan Collins of Maine
Olympia Snowe of Maine
Saxby Chambliss of Georgia
Johnny Isakson of Georgia
Lindsey Graham of South Carolina
Mark Kirk of Illinois
John McCain of Arizona,
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
John Thune of South Dakota
These RINOS said they did not want to duplicate the tactics of Senate Democrats who blocked numerous of President George W. Bush judicial nominees by refusing to support a cloture vote that would allow their nominations to come up for a final vote on the Senate floor.

Well I certainly feel better – a confirmed ABORTIONIST is now a federal judge – a lifetime appointment!

Obama opts not to show pictures of dead OBL… "Imagine how the American people would react if al-Qaida killed one of our troops or military leaders, and put photos of the body on the internet. Osama bin Laden is not a trophy -- he is dead and let's now focus on continuing the fight until al-Qaida has been eliminated," said Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Michigan)
OMG! Does the name BLACKHAWK DOWN mean anything! And helloooooooooooo, – OUR MILITARY ARE NOT MASS MURDERERS!
Edited 5/5/11 to correct attribute of quote - it was a stupid Republican who said it..... my bad

LAYING A WREATH.... BUT NOT AT ARLINGTON
Apparently Obama had a previously planned trip to NYC and he has decided to lay a wreath at Ground Zero. There White House word is: Following the killing of Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, Obama plans to mark the occasion by visiting the most famous site of bin Laden's destruction.
This is Obama’s first visit to Ground Zero since being elected. He will also have a private meeting with family members of 911 victims. Anyone who thinks this is NOT completely political, please raise your hand. Thank God Bush declined to play politics and give Obama credence for this event. Remember….
IN 2009, Obama avoided a racial controversy on Memorial Day by sending wreaths to separate memorials for Confederate soldiers and for blacks who fought against them during the Civil War. [flutters from the MSM]
In 2010, he skipped the Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington entirely in favor of making a speech in Chicago, which God washed out. His 2011 Memorial Day plans are as yet unannounced.
As an aside, Obama will have a CAT scan as part of his annual physical – he may have dislocated his shoulder patting himself on the back.
THE INTELLECTUAL DISHONESTY OF NANCY PELOSI or…. WHY DOES ANYONE GIVE A RAT’S ASS WHAT SHE THINKS ANYMORE?
Nancy Pelosi from a press conference on September 7, 2006:
- [E]ven if [Osama bin Laden] is caught tomorrow, it is five years too late. He has done more damage the longer he has been out there. But, in fact, the damage that he has done . . . is done. And even to capture him now I don’t think makes us any safer.
Nancy Pelosi yesterday:
- The death of Osama bin Laden marks the most significant development in our fight against al-Qaida. . . . I salute President Obama, his national security team, Director Panetta, our men and women in the intelligence community and military, and other nations who supported this effort for their leadership in achieving this major accomplishment. . . . [T]he death of Osama bin Laden is historic. . . .
OBAMA TO VISIT GROUND ZERO
H/T to 'Another Black Conservative'
Obama will visit Ground Zero on Thursday, for the first time since taking office, to accept the mantle of Supreme Terror Fighter. Bush, who coined the term ‘War or Terror’ was also invited to attend but declined. Obama will celebrate the success of his ‘Overseas Contingency’ as he walks in Bush’s footsteps. No word if Clinton was invited, but if he’s there, I’m sure he will still be wishing 911 took place under his watch.

The current administration has long made it clear it didn’t approve of Bush’s approach after 911, saying it has battled global terrorism in a smarter, more law-abiding and ultimately more successful way.
“I think the credit for the focus and the fight … is shared by both administrations,” White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday.
But he quickly differentiated Obama’s approach, saying the president has presided over a “refocus” and “revitalization” of Bush policies that pulled troops from Iraq and bolstered the effort to suppress Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Yeah, right.

PANETTA ORDERED THE RAID???? Now THIS is believable!
"What Valerie Jarrett, and the president, did not know is that Leon Panetta had already initiated a program that reported to him –and only him, involving a covert on the ground attack against the compound."
OBAMA DIDN'T KILL BIN LADEN
OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American military man, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our people finally found Bin Laden and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory

BIN LADEN SWIMS WITH THE FISHES
Former President George W. Bush, whose entire presidency was defined by the September 11th attacks, said in a statement tonight that President Obama called him to inform him of the news of bin Laden’s death.
Bush called the operation a “momentous achievement” that “marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.”
“I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude,” the former president said in a statement. “The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.”
Osama Bin Laden was asked to surrender by US troops before he was shot dead, Fox News is quoting intelligence sources as saying.
The terrorist leader had always said he would not be captured alive.
Bin Laden was shot dead during a raid by US ground troops on a compound in Pakistan. His body was captured by the Americans.
The troops landed in four helicopters. One of the helicopters suffered mechanical failure and was destroyed by the Americans. However none of the American soldiers were killed.
One of Bin Laden's sons was also killed in the operation.

THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER
In bed last night watching the highlights of the Royal Wedding on CNN (yes – CNN – I actually had to unblock the channel but I thought WTH – let’s see how the ‘other’ press covers something THIS neutral) when they cut to the White House Correspondents Dinner – just as Obama was about to stand and do his shtick – so I left it there and listened.
Well, if you didn’t see it, go look around on YouTube – I’m sure there are selected cuts…. Before I tell you that I thought Obama was snarky and mean, let me put up this disclaimer – I despise the man and all that he stands for and if he collapsed at my feet, I wouldn’t give him a jar of air. There was nothing he could do or say last night that was going to change my opinion of him.
OK. Having said that, Obama was snarky and mean, and while the crowd roared at times, they also OOOOOOOOOOO’d, meaning they thought he was snarky and mean, too.
His main target was Trump and FOX News, though he did have a line or two of self-deprecating humor, such as ‘they say I’m arrogant…. The cure for that is a look at my poll numbers’…. And that’s the darn truth – didn’t know polls could be so low after only 28 month of a term. And Seth Whoever, from SNL I think, was funny at the start, and then HE got snarky and mean. The only person in the room who was NOT having fun was Donald Trump, though he did chuckle a time or two. The camera focused on Trump 75% of the time and I honestly expected him to stand up and give Obama the finger at any minute! He most definitely was NOT happy.
I’ll be eager to see what the talking heads have to say. I watched about five minutes of the CNN commentators right after the dinner ended. The only thing missing was Chris Matthews with a major wet spot on his trousers, because the network female giving her opinion was obviously in the throes of a major Obamorgasm. Even the guys were breathless.
I turned off the TV and dreamed Obama was re-elected. It was truly the worst nightmare I’ve ever had.
*clink* (oh hell yeah!)
